On Tuesday, the Governor and the Illinois Department of Public Health, announced that due to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in our region, new mitigations will be implemented beginning this Saturday October 3rd.

The Office of The Governor provided a press release outlining the measures, which include ceasing indoor food and alcohol service in all restaurants and bars, earlier closing hours, social group event limit at 25 persons, and several other restrictions. These restrictions will remain in place until the Region sees a positivity rate drop below 6.5% for three consecutive days, and more stringent measures if the rate does not fall within 14days.
